儻爾一目陷爾、則去之、寧一目而進上帝國、勝有二目投於地獄、

倘爾一目使爾陷於罪、則抉之、爾一目入天主國、勝如有兩目而投於磯很拿、

倘爾目陷爾於罪、抉之可也；寧具隻眼而進天主之國、莫使具雙目而被拋于火獄；

And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,

And if your eye is causing you to sin, throw it away; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be thrown into hell,

只是我告訴你們，凡向弟兄動怒的，難免受審判；凡罵弟兄是拉加的，難免公會的審判；凡罵弟兄是魔利的，難免地獄的火。

倘若你一隻手叫你跌倒，就把它砍下來；

倘若你一隻眼叫你跌倒，就把它剜出來丟掉。你只有一隻眼進入永生，強如有兩隻眼被丟在地獄的火裏。」

只是我告訴你們，凡看見婦女就動淫念的，這人心裏已經與她犯姦淫了。若是你的右眼叫你跌倒，就剜出來丟掉，寧可失去百體中的一體，不叫全身丟在地獄裏。

只是我先前以為與我有益的，我現在因基督都當作有損的。不但如此，我也將萬事當作有損的，因我以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶。我為他已經丟棄萬事，看作糞土，為要得着基督；

你們當日所誇的福氣在哪裏呢？那時你們若能行，就是把自己的眼睛剜出來給我，也都情願。這是我可以給你們作見證的。

「愛父母過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；愛兒女過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；不背着他的十字架跟從我的，也不配作我的門徒。得着生命的，將要失喪生命；為我失喪生命的，將要得着生命。」

於是女人見那棵樹的果子好作食物，也悅人的眼目，且是可喜愛的，能使人有智慧，就摘下果子來吃了，又給她丈夫，她丈夫也吃了。

「人到我這裏來，若不愛我勝過愛自己的父母、妻子、兒女、弟兄、姊妹，和自己的性命，就不能作我的門徒。

我與眼睛立約，怎能戀戀瞻望處女呢？

求你叫我轉眼不看虛假，又叫我在你的道中生活。
