倘爾一目使爾陷於罪、則抉之、爾一目入天主國、勝如有兩目而投於磯很拿、

倘爾目陷爾於罪、抉之可也；寧具隻眼而進天主之國、莫使具雙目而被拋于火獄；

And if your eye is causing you to sin, throw it away; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be thrown into hell,

只是我告诉你们，凡向弟兄动怒的，难免受审判；凡骂弟兄是拉加的，难免公会的审判；凡骂弟兄是魔利的，难免地狱的火。

倘若你一只手叫你跌倒，就把它砍下来；

倘若你一只眼叫你跌倒，就把它剜出来丢掉。你只有一只眼进入永生，强如有两只眼被丢在地狱的火里。”

只是我告诉你们，凡看见妇女就动淫念的，这人心里已经与她犯奸淫了。若是你的右眼叫你跌倒，就剜出来丢掉，宁可失去百体中的一体，不叫全身丢在地狱里。

只是我先前以为与我有益的，我现在因基督都当作有损的。不但如此，我也将万事当作有损的，因我以认识我主基督耶稣为至宝。我为他已经丢弃万事，看作粪土，为要得着基督；

你们当日所夸的福气在哪里呢？那时你们若能行，就是把自己的眼睛剜出来给我，也都情愿。这是我可以给你们作见证的。

爱父母过于爱我的，不配作我的门徒；爱儿女过于爱我的，不配作我的门徒；不背着他的十字架跟从我的，也不配作我的门徒。得着生命的，将要失丧生命；为我失丧生命的，将要得着生命。”

于是女人见那棵树的果子好作食物，也悦人的眼目，且是可喜爱的，能使人有智慧，就摘下果子来吃了，又给她丈夫，她丈夫也吃了。

“人到我这里来，若不爱我胜过爱自己的父母、妻子、儿女、弟兄、姐妹，和自己的性命，就不能作我的门徒。

“我与眼睛立约，怎能恋恋瞻望处女呢？

求你叫我转眼不看虚假，又叫我在你的道中生活。
