但是我告诉你们：所有怀着欲念看女人的，就已经在心里和她通奸了。如果你的右眼使你绊倒，就把它剜出来丢掉！因为对你来说，失去你身体的一部分，总比你全身被丢进地狱要好。

然而，以前对我有益的事，现在因基督的缘故，我已经把这些事看做是损失。不但如此，我甚至把一切都看做是损失，因为我把认识我主基督耶稣看为是至高无上的。我为基督耶稣损失了一切，而且把一切都看做是粪土，为要赢得基督，

你们当时的福份到哪里去了呢？我可以给你们做见证：那时如果有可能，你们连自己的眼睛都会挖出来给我！

“那爱父亲或母亲过于爱我的，不配属于我；那爱儿子或女儿过于爱我的，不配属于我；不背起自己的十字架来跟从我的，也不配属于我。寻得自己生命的，将失去生命；为我的缘故失去自己生命的，将寻得生命。

女人见那棵树的果实作为食物很好，又悦人眼目，并且因使人有智慧而令人喜爱，就摘下果实吃了，还给了与她在一起的丈夫，她丈夫也吃了。

“如果有人到我这里来，而不恨自己的父亲、母亲、妻子、儿女、兄弟、姐妹，甚至自己的生命，他就不能做我的门徒。

求你使我转眼不看虚妄的事，使我在你的道路上存活。
