But Jesus said,“ Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me.

茲吾欲爾澈悟者、凡感於天主之神、而謂耶穌可詛者、未之有也；未感聖神、而稱耶穌為主者、亦未之有也。

雖然、是亦何傷？無論其心意之誠也偽也、其揄揚基督則一；此吾之所為歡欣鼓舞、而不能自已者也。

主人對曰：「讐人所為也。」傭曰：「吾儕即往薅之如何？」曰：「不可、誠恐薅稗而麥亦見拔、

使我無愛德、而徒能操萬國之音、作天神之語、則猶鳴鑼擊鈸而已矣。使我無愛德、而具先知之靈賦、心通一切玄妙、一切知識、甚至有移山之信、則亦浮華無實耳。

人有攜孩提至者、欲耶穌撫之、門徒斥其人。耶穌艴然謂其徒曰：『容赤子來就我、勿之阻也！蓋天主之國、惟若輩是屬。

彼日必有群人謂予曰：「吾主吾主、我儕非奉爾名以傳大道、以驅魔物、以行靈蹟者乎？」予將明以告之曰：「爾作惡之徒、非予素識、其去無留！」

予且痛鞭吾身、使之馴伏、蓋恐傳道於人而己遭擯棄也。

時有猶太人遊行各處、誦咒祛鬼、向中魔者擅稱主耶穌之名曰：『予奉葆樂所傳之耶穌、敕汝等出。』行此者有猶太司祭長士基瓦之二子；然厲鬼答之曰：『耶穌予所識、葆樂予所知；顧爾為何許人耶？』中魔者即猛撲而制之、二人竟裸體負傷而遁戶外。
