Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said,“ Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

Jesus sat down and called for the 12 disciples to come to him. Then he said,“ Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last. They must be the servant of everyone.”

And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them,“ If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said,“ Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”

耶稣叫他们来，对他们说：“你们知道，外邦人有尊为君王的，治理他们，有大臣操权管束他们。只是在你们中间，不是这样。你们中间，谁愿为大，就必作你们的用人；在你们中间，谁愿为首，就必作众人的仆人。因为人子来，并不是要受人的服侍，乃是要服侍人，并且要舍命作多人的赎价。”

耶稣叫了他们来，说：“你们知道外邦人有君王为主治理他们，有大臣操权管束他们。只是在你们中间，不可这样；你们中间谁愿为大，就必作你们的用人；谁愿为首，就必作你们的仆人。正如人子来，不是要受人的服侍，乃是要服侍人，并且要舍命，作多人的赎价。”

你被请的时候，就去坐在末位上，好叫那请你的人来对你说：‘朋友，请上座。’那时，你在同席的人面前就有光彩了。因为，凡自高的，必降为卑；自卑的，必升为高。”

但他赐更多的恩典，所以经上说：“神阻挡骄傲的人，赐恩给谦卑的人。”

但你们不可这样；你们里头为大的，倒要像年幼的，为首领的，倒要像服侍人的。

你们中间谁为大，谁就要作你们的用人。

我告诉你们，这人回家去比那人倒算为义了；因为，凡自高的，必降为卑；自卑的，必升为高。”

骄傲只启争竞；听劝言的，却有智慧。

你为自己图谋大事吗？不要图谋！我必使灾祸临到凡有血气的。但你无论往哪里去，我必使你以自己的命为掠物。这是耶和华说的。”
