Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said,“ Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

Jesus sat down and called for the 12 disciples to come to him. Then he said,“ Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last. They must be the servant of everyone.”

And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them,“ If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said,“ Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”

Sitting down, he called the Twelve and said to them,“ If anyone wants to be first, he must be last and servant of all.”

耶穌把他們叫過來，對他們說：“你們知道各國都有被尊為元首的統治他們，也有官長管轄他們。但你們中間卻不要這樣；誰想在你們中間為大的，就要作你們的僕役，誰想在你們中間為首的，就要作大家的奴僕。因為人子來，不是要受人服事，而是要服事人，並且要捨命，作許多人的贖價。”

耶穌把他們叫過來，說：“你們知道各國都有元首統治他們，也有官長管轄他們。但你們中間卻不要這樣；誰想在你們中間成為大的，就要作你們的僕役；誰想在你們中間為首的，就要作你們的奴僕。正如人子來，不是要受人的服事，而是要服事人，並且要捨命，作許多人的贖價。”

你被邀請的時候，要坐在末位上，等請你的人過來對你說：‘朋友，請上座。’那時你在同席的人面前才有光彩。因為凡高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己謙卑的，必要升高。”

但神所賜的恩更大；所以聖經上說：“神對抗驕傲的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。”

但你們卻不要這樣；你們中間最大的，應當像最小的；作首領的，應當像服事人的。

你們中間最大的，必作你們的僕人。

我告訴你們，這個人回家去，比那個倒算為義了。因為高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己謙卑的，必要升高。”

傲慢只能引起爭端；接受勸告的卻有智慧。

你要為自己圖謀大事嗎？不要圖謀！看哪！我必使災禍降在全人類身上，但無論你到甚麼地方去，我必使你撿回自己的性命。’”這是耶和華的宣告。
