Then He came to Capernaum. And when He was in the house He asked them,“ What was it you disputed among yourselves on the road?”

They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

Jesus and his disciples came to a house in Capernaum. There he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

And they came to Capernaum. And when he was in the house he asked them,“ What were you discussing on the way?”

After they arrived at Capernaum and settled in a house, Jesus asked his disciples,“ What were you discussing out on the road?”

Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest.And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him,and said to them,“ Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.”

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying,“ Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them,and said,“ Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.

He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” And he said to Him,“ Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed My sheep.

I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them,“ Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?

When they had come to Capernaum, those who received the temple tax came to Peter and said,“ Does your Teacher not pay the temple tax?”
