They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

Jesus and his disciples came to a house in Capernaum. There he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

他們中間起了議論誰為最大。耶穌看出他們心中的意念，就拉着一個小孩子，叫他站在自己旁邊，便對他們說：『凡為我名的緣故接待這樣小孩子的、就是接待我；凡接待我的、就是接待那差遣我的。因為在你們中間最小的，才是最大。』

當那時候，門徒上耶穌跟前來，說：『那麼在天國裏誰是最大的呢？』耶穌便叫了一個小孩子來，讓他站在他們當中，說：『我實在告訴你們，你們若不回轉，變像小孩子的樣子，斷不得以進天國。所以凡自己謙卑像這個小孩子的，他在天國裏就是最大的。『凡為我名的緣故接待一個這樣的小孩子的，就是接待我；

永恆主啊，你察透了我，你認識我。我坐下、我起來、只有你才曉得；我的意念你從遠處就明白。我行路、我伸懶腰、你都篩下來細察；我一切所行的、你都熟悉。永恆主啊，我舌頭上發出的話沒有一句你不知道。

耶穌第三次對西門彼得說：『約翰的兒子西門，你愛我麼？』彼得因耶穌第三次對他說『你愛我麼？』就憂愁，對耶穌說：『主啊，你知道一切，知道我愛你。』耶穌對他說：『你餵養我的小羊。』

我必以死亡擊殺她的兒女；眾教會就知道我是探索透人肺腑腎腸的；我必照你們的行為將各人所應得的報給你們。

又因為他不需要甚麼人給人作見證；他自己深知在人裏面的是甚麼。

被創造者在上帝面前、沒有一個是不顯露的；萬物在我們必須和他算賬的主眼前、都是赤裸裸、捉襟肘見的。

耶穌心靈中即刻覺得他們心裏這樣議論，就對他們說：『你們為甚麼心裏議論這些事呢？

他們到了迦伯農，收殿稅的人上來見彼得，說：『你們的先生不納殿稅麼？』
