They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.”

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying,“ Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of themand said,“ Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.“ Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me,

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time,“ Do you love me?” and he said to him,“ Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed my sheep.

and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.

and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.

And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them,“ Why do you question these things in your hearts?

When they came to Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma tax went up to Peter and said,“ Does your teacher not pay the tax?”
