They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

Jesus and his disciples came to a house in Capernaum. There he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

门徒中间起了议论，谁将为大。耶稣看出他们心中的议论，就领一个小孩子来，叫他站在自己旁边，对他们说：“凡为我名接待这小孩子的，就是接待我；凡接待我的，就是接待那差我来的。你们中间最小的，他便为大。”

当时，门徒进前来，问耶稣说：“天国里谁是最大的？”耶稣便叫一个小孩子来，使他站在他们当中，说：“我实在告诉你们，你们若不回转，变成小孩子的样式，断不得进天国。所以，凡自己谦卑像这小孩子的，他在天国里就是最大的。凡为我的名接待一个像这小孩子的，就是接待我。”

耶和华啊，你已经鉴察我，认识我。我坐下，我起来，你都晓得；你从远处知道我的意念。我行路，我躺卧，你都细察；你也深知我一切所行的。耶和华啊，我舌头上的话，你没有一句不知道的。

第三次对他说：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得因为耶稣第三次对他说“你爱我吗”，就忧愁，对耶稣说：“主啊，你是无所不知的；你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你喂养我的羊。

我又要杀死她的党类，叫众教会知道，我是那察看人肺腑心肠的，并要照你们的行为报应你们各人。

也用不着谁见证人怎样，因他知道人心里所存的。

并且被造的没有一样在他面前不显然的；原来万物在那与我们有关系的主眼前，都是赤露敞开的。

耶稣心中知道他们心里这样议论，就说：“你们心里为什么这样议论呢？

到了迦百农，有收丁税的人来见彼得，说：“你们的先生不纳丁税吗？”
