They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

Jesus and his disciples came to a house in Capernaum. There he asked them,“ What were you arguing about on the road?”

And they came to Capernaum. And when he was in the house he asked them,“ What were you discussing on the way?”

After they arrived at Capernaum and settled in a house, Jesus asked his disciples,“ What were you discussing out on the road?”

門徒之間起了爭論：他們當中到底誰更大。耶穌看出他們心中的意念，就領來一個小孩子，讓他站在自己身旁，然後對他們說：「無論誰奉我的名接受這小孩子，就是接受我；接受我的，就是接受差派我來的那一位。要知道，在你們當中誰更小，他才為大。」

那時，門徒們前來問耶穌：「在天國裡究竟誰更大？」耶穌叫來一個小孩子，讓他站在他們當中，說：「我確實地告訴你們：你們如果不回轉，變得像小孩子一樣，絕不能進入天國。所以，誰像這小孩子自我降卑，誰在天國裡就更大。無論誰奉我的名接受這樣一個小孩子，就是接受我。

耶和華啊，你已經洞察我，認識我！我坐下、我起來，你都知道；你從遠方就知道我的意念。我行路、我躺臥，你都細察；你熟悉我的一切道路。耶和華啊，我舌頭上的話還沒有說，看哪，你已經完全知道了！

耶穌第三次問他：「約翰的兒子西門，你喜愛我嗎？」彼得感到憂傷，因為耶穌第三次是對他說：「你喜愛我嗎？」彼得說：「主啊，你知道一切，你知道我喜愛你。」耶穌對他說：「餵養我的羊。

我要用瘟疫擊殺她的兒女，這樣各教會就將知道我就是洞察情感和心思的那一位；我也要照著你們的行為回報你們每個人。

他也不需要誰來見證人的事，因為他知道人裡面是什麼。

並且被造之物在神面前，沒有一樣不是顯明的；萬有在他眼前，都是赤裸敞開的；我們都要向他交代。

耶穌靈裡立刻知道他們心裡這樣想，就對他們說：「你們心裡為什麼想這些事呢？

他們來到迦百農，那些收聖殿稅的人來到彼得那裡，說：「你們的老師不納聖殿稅嗎？」
