从那时起，耶稣开始向门徒指出，他必须往耶路撒冷去，受长老、祭司长和经学家许多的苦害，并且被杀，第三天复活。

“我们现在上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交给祭司长和经学家，他们要定他死罪，把他交给外族人凌辱、鞭打，并且钉在十字架上。然而第三天他要复活。”

耶稣说：“以利亚固然要先来复兴一切，但圣经为什么又记载人子要受许多苦，被人藐视呢？

于是他教导他们，人子必须受许多苦，被长老、祭司长和经学家弃绝、杀害，三天后复活。

主对他们说：“这就是我从前与你们同在的时候，对你们说过的话：摩西的律法、先知书和诗篇上所记关于我的一切事，都必定应验。”于是他开他们的心窍，使他们明白圣经；又说：“经上这样记着：基督必须受害，第三天从死人中复活。

基督这样受害，然后进入他的荣耀，不是应当的吗？”

“你们知道两天之后就是逾越节，人子将要被交给人，钉在十字架上。”

佃户看见他的儿子，就彼此说：‘这是继承产业的；来，我们杀了他，占有他的产业吧！’于是他们抓住他，把他推出葡萄园外杀了。

耶稣把十二门徒带到一边，对他们说：“我们现在上耶路撒冷去，先知所写的一切，都要成就在人子身上。他要被交给外族人，受戏弄，被凌辱，他们要向他吐唾沫，鞭打他，杀害他；第三日他要复活。”

正如人子来，不是要受人的服事，而是要服事人，并且要舍命，作许多人的赎价。”

他照着神的定旨和预知被交了出去，你们就藉不法之徒的手，把他钉死了。神却把死的痛苦解除，使他复活了，因为他不能被死亡拘禁。

没有人能夺去我的生命，是我自己舍去的。我有权把生命舍去，也有权把它取回来；这是我从我的父所领受的命令。”

希律和本丢．彼拉多，外族人和以色列民，真的在这城里聚集，反对你所膏立的圣仆耶稣，行了你手和你旨意所预定要成就的一切。

“你们要把这些话存在心里：人子将要被交在人的手里。”

耶稣回答：“你们拆毁这殿，我三天之内要把它建造起来。”

我们若能坚忍，就必与他一同作王；我们若不认他，他必不认我们；
