When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit.“ You deaf and mute spirit,” he said,“ I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”

如是者多日；葆樂不勝其擾、乃顧為鬼曰：『吾奉耶穌基督之名、命汝即離其身！』鬼出、

眾一見耶穌、不勝驚喜、趨而禮之。

童甫至、鬼復摔之倒地、痙攣益甚。耶穌訶斥邪魔、療童以歸諸其父。

有鬼能使人啞、耶穌逐之。鬼既出、啞者言、眾皆歎異。

耶穌曰：『毋聲！速離此人。』穢魔在廣眾前、投其人於地而去、未加害。

二人甫出、復有攜一中魔而瘖者至前；魔見逐、瘖者言。眾皆驚異曰：『義塞國中、從未睹此。』

祛魔亦復不少。魔皆呼曰：『汝乃天主之子。』耶穌斥之、不許發言、以群魔識其為基督故。

門徒潛謁耶穌曰：『吾儕莫之能祛、何也？』

耶穌斥之曰：『毋聲、離其身、』邪魔乃拘攣其人、呼號而去。眾皆愕然相詰曰：『此何事耶？其新道歟！彼竟有權號令邪魔、而若輩且唯唯從命矣！』

揚聲呼曰：『至尊天主之子耶穌、我與爾何涉、叨賴天主、幸勿相苦。』蓋耶穌命之曰：『穢魔、其離此人！』

蓋耶穌命邪魔脫離其人也。而魔之屢憑此人、由來已久；雖繫以鐵索、械以桎梏、輒自折斷而為魔逐至曠野。

昔總領天神彌額爾與魔鬼奪摩西屍體也、猶且不敢擅作威福、加以無謂之凌辱、僅曰：『願主責爾』而已。

時有挈一中魔者至、瞽且瘖、
