Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”— not knowing what he said.While he was saying this, a cloud appeared and overshadowed them. They became afraid as they entered the cloud.Then a voice came from the cloud, saying: This is My Son, the Chosen One; listen to Him!After the voice had spoken, only Jesus was found. They kept silent, and in those days told no one what they had seen.

Even His clothes became as white as the light.Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.Then Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it’s good for us to be here! If You want, I will make three tabernacles here: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said: This is My beloved Son. I take delight in Him. Listen to Him!When the disciples heard it, they fell facedown and were terrified.Then Jesus came up, touched them, and said,“ Get up; don’t be afraid.”When they looked up they saw no one except Him— Jesus alone.

He did not let anyone accompany Him except Peter, James, and John, James’s brother.

He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be deeply distressed and horrified.

So Moses arose with his assistant Joshua and went up the mountain of God.

Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; you will see a vast land.

As Moses descended from Mount Sinai— with the two tablets of the testimony in his hands as he descended the mountain— he did not realize that the skin of his face shone as a result of his speaking with the Lord.When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, the skin of his face shone! They were afraid to come near him.But Moses called out to them, so Aaron and all the leaders of the community returned to him, and Moses spoke to them.Afterward all the Israelites came near, and he commanded them to do everything the Lord had told him on Mount Sinai.When Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face.But whenever Moses went before the Lord to speak with Him, he would remove the veil until he came out. After he came out, he would tell the Israelites what he had been commanded,and the Israelites would see that Moses’ face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil over his face again until he went to speak with the Lord.

Then after this, He appeared in a different form to two of them walking on their way into the country.

and among the lampstands was One like the Son of Man, dressed in a long robe and with a gold sash wrapped around His chest.His head and hair were white like wool— white as snow— and His eyes like a fiery flame.His feet were like fine bronze as it is fired in a furnace, and His voice like the sound of cascading waters.He had seven stars in His right hand; a sharp double-edged sword came from His mouth, and His face was shining like the sun at midday.When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. He laid His right hand on me and said,“ Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last,

He grew up before Him like a young plant and like a root out of dry ground. He didn’t have an impressive form or majesty that we should look at Him, no appearance that we should desire Him.

Then I saw a great white throne and One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them.

So Ahab went to eat and drink, but Elijah went up to the summit of Carmel. He bowed down on the ground and put his face between his knees.

He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.

who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage.Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form,He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death— even to death on a cross.

This is the third time I am coming to you. Every fact must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

When Jesus heard about it, He withdrew from there by boat to a remote place to be alone. When the crowds heard this, they followed Him on foot from the towns.

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

“ Elijah is coming and will restore everything,” He replied.“ But I tell you: Elijah has already come, and they didn’t recognize him. On the contrary, they did whatever they pleased to him. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them about John the Baptist.

Now if the ministry of death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory, so that the Israelites were not able to look directly at Moses’ face because of the glory from his face— a fading glory—how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness overflows with even more glory.In fact, what had been glorious is not glorious now by comparison because of the glory that surpasses it.

During those days He went out to the mountain to pray and spent all night in prayer to God.

The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Next, he arranged the wood, cut up the bull, and placed it on the wood. He said,“ Fill four water pots with water and pour it on the offering to be burned and on the wood.”

For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; instead, we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, a voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory: This is My beloved Son. I take delight in Him!And we heard this voice when it came from heaven while we were with Him on the holy mountain.
