我實在告訴你們，無論何人對這座山說：『你挪開此地，投在海裏！』他若心裏不疑惑，只信他所說的必成，就必給他成了。

眾人聽見這話就極其惱怒，向司提反咬牙切齒。

門徒暗暗地到耶穌跟前，說：「我們為甚麼不能趕出那鬼呢？」耶穌說：「是因你們的信心小。我實在告訴你們，你們若有信心，像一粒芥菜種，就是對這座山說：『你從這邊挪到那邊』，它也必挪去；並且你們沒有一件不能做的事了。

有一個迦南婦人，從那地方出來，喊着說：「主啊，大衛的子孫，可憐我！我女兒被鬼附得甚苦。」

耶穌進了屋子，門徒就暗暗地問他說：「我們為甚麼不能趕出他去呢？」耶穌說：「非用禱告，這一類的鬼總不能出來。」

那鬼喊叫，使孩子大大地抽了一陣瘋，就出來了。孩子好像死了一般，以致眾人多半說：「他是死了。」

他被鬼抓住就忽然喊叫；鬼又叫他抽瘋，口中流沫，並且重重地傷害他，難以離開他。我求過你的門徒，把鬼趕出去，他們卻是不能。」

惟有本國的子民竟被趕到外邊黑暗裏去，在那裏必要哀哭切齒了。」

惡人看見便惱恨，必咬牙而消化；惡人的心願要歸滅絕。

以利沙吩咐基哈西說：「你束上腰，手拿我的杖前去；若遇見人，不要向他問安；人若向你問安，也不要回答；要把我的杖放在孩子臉上。」孩子的母親說：「我指着永生的耶和華，又敢在你面前起誓，我必不離開你。」於是以利沙起身，隨着她去了。基哈西先去，把杖放在孩子臉上，卻沒有聲音，也沒有動靜。基哈西就迎着以利沙回來，告訴他說：「孩子還沒有醒過來。」

主發怒撕裂我，逼迫我，向我切齒；我的敵人怒目看我。

我帶他到你門徒那裏，他們卻不能醫治他。」

他們就帶了他來。他一見耶穌，鬼便叫他重重地抽瘋，倒在地上，翻來覆去，口中流沫。

是海裏的狂浪，湧出自己可恥的沫子來；是流蕩的星，有墨黑的幽暗為他們永遠存留。
