众人听见这话就极其恼怒，向司提反咬牙切齿。

门徒暗暗地到耶稣跟前，说：“我们为什么不能赶出那鬼呢？”耶稣说：“是因你们的信心小。我实在告诉你们，你们若有信心，像一粒芥菜种，就是对这座山说：‘你从这边挪到那边’，它也必挪去；并且你们没有一件不能做的事了。

有一个迦南妇人，从那地方出来，喊着说：“主啊，大卫的子孙，可怜我！我女儿被鬼附得甚苦。”

耶稣进了屋子，门徒就暗暗地问他说：“我们为什么不能赶出他去呢？”耶稣说：“非用祷告，这一类的鬼总不能出来。”

那鬼喊叫，使孩子大大地抽了一阵风，就出来了。孩子好像死了一般，以致众人多半说：“他是死了。”

他被鬼抓住就忽然喊叫；鬼又叫他抽风，口中流沫，并且重重地伤害他，难以离开他。我求过你的门徒，把鬼赶出去，他们却是不能。”

惟有本国的子民竟被赶到外边黑暗里去，在那里必要哀哭切齿了。”

恶人看见便恼恨，必咬牙而消化；恶人的心愿要归灭绝。

以利沙吩咐基哈西说：“你束上腰，手拿我的杖前去；若遇见人，不要向他问安；人若向你问安，也不要回答；要把我的杖放在孩子脸上。”孩子的母亲说：“我指着永生的耶和华，又敢在你面前起誓，我必不离开你。”于是以利沙起身，随着她去了。基哈西先去，把杖放在孩子脸上，却没有声音，也没有动静。基哈西就迎着以利沙回来，告诉他说：“孩子还没有醒过来。”

主发怒撕裂我，逼迫我，向我切齿；我的敌人怒目看我。

我带他到你门徒那里，他们却不能医治他。”

他们就带了他来。他一见耶稣，鬼便叫他重重地抽风，倒在地上，翻来覆去，口中流沫。

是海里的狂浪，涌出自己可耻的沫子来；是流荡的星，有墨黑的幽暗为他们永远存留。
