他们听了这些话就勃然大怒，向司提反咬牙切齿。

门徒们悄悄地前来问耶稣：“我们为什么不能赶出那鬼魔呢？”耶稣回答说：“因为你们小信。我确实地告诉你们：如果你们有像一粒芥菜种子那样的信仰，就是对这座山说‘从这里移到那里！’它也将移开；而且在你们，将没有不可能的事。

这时候，忽然来了一个住在那地区的迦南妇人，她呼叫说：“主啊，大卫的后裔，可怜我吧！我的女儿有鬼魔附身，痛苦万分。”

耶稣进了房子，他的门徒们就悄悄地问他：“我们为什么不能赶出那邪灵呢？”耶稣对他们说：“对这一类的邪灵，如果不藉着祷告和禁食，就不能赶出去。”

邪灵喊叫一声，使孩子剧烈地抽疯，就出来了。孩子变得像死人那样，所以许多人说：“他死了。”

你看，邪灵抓住他，忽然喊叫起来，又使他抽疯，口吐白沫；邪灵折磨着他，就是不离开。我求过你的门徒们，要他们驱赶那邪灵，可是他们不能。”

但那些‘天国的儿女’，却将被丢在外面的黑暗里。在那里将有哀哭和切齿。”

恶人看见就恼怒，他们咬牙切齿终必消逝；他们的愿望也要消亡。

我带他到你的门徒们那里，可是他们不能使他痊愈。”

他们就把他带到耶稣面前来。邪灵一见耶稣，立刻使孩子剧烈地抽疯，倒在地上打滚，口吐白沫。

是海中的狂浪，涌出自己可耻的泡沫；是流荡的星辰，有漆黑的幽暗永远为他们存留。
