我实在告诉你们，不论何人，只要有信心，毫不疑惑，就是对这座山说，‘从这里挪开，投进大海里！’也必定为他成就。

众人听了这番话，怒火中烧，咬牙切齿。

事后，门徒私下问耶稣：“我们为什么赶不走那鬼呢？”耶稣说：“你们的信心太小了。我实在告诉你们，你们若有像芥菜种那样大的信心，就算叫这座山从这里移到那里，它也会移开，你们将没有办不到的事。

那地方有个迦南的妇人前来大声恳求耶稣：“主啊！大卫的后裔啊！可怜我吧！我的女儿被鬼附身，受尽折磨！”

耶稣进屋后，门徒悄悄问祂：“我们为什么赶不走那鬼呢？”耶稣说：“要赶走这类鬼只有靠祷告。”

那鬼发出喊叫，使孩子剧烈地抽搐了一阵，就出来了。孩子躺在地上一动也不动，大家都以为他死了。

鬼控制着他，他常常突然狂喊乱叫、抽搐、口吐白沫，倍受折磨，无休无止。我曾求过你的门徒把鬼赶出去，但他们都无能为力。”

但那些本应承受天国的人反会被赶出去，在黑暗里哀哭切齿。”

恶人见状，必然恼怒，咬牙切齿，气绝身亡。恶人的盼望必破灭。

以利沙吩咐基哈西：“你要束上腰带，拿着我的杖去她家。路上不论遇见谁，都不要问候他。有人问候你，也不要作答。去把我的杖放在孩子脸上。”孩子的母亲说：“我凭永活的耶和华和你的性命起誓，你若不同去，我决不离开你。”于是，以利沙跟她同去。基哈西先赶到，把杖放在孩子脸上，可是孩子一点动静也没有。他就回去找以利沙，路上碰见他，便说：“孩子还没醒过来。”

上帝在愤怒中撕裂我，迫害我，向我咬牙切齿；仇敌恶狠狠地盯着我。

我带他去见你的门徒，但他们却不能治好他。”

他们把那孩子带到耶稣面前。那鬼一见耶稣，就使孩子抽搐，倒在地上打滚，口吐白沫。

他们是海中的狂涛，翻动着自己可耻的泡沫，是流荡的星星，有幽幽黑暗永远留给他们。
