主人來了，看見僕人警醒，那些僕人就有福了。我實在告訴你們，主人會叫他們坐席，自己束上腰帶，前來伺候他們。

你們一進城，他還沒有上丘壇吃祭物之前，就會遇見他。因為他沒有到，百姓不能吃，必須等他先為祭物祝謝，然後受邀的人才可以吃。現在就上去吧，因為這時候你們會遇見他。」

那時，男人約有五千。耶穌對門徒說：「叫他們分組坐下，每組大約五十個人。」門徒就這樣做了，叫眾人都坐下。

耶穌說：「拿過來給我。」於是他吩咐眾人坐在草地上，就拿着這五個餅和兩條魚，望着天祝福，擘開餅，遞給門徒，門徒又遞給眾人。

耶穌說：「你們叫大家坐下。」那地方的草多，人們就坐下，男人的數目約有五千。耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了，就分給坐着的人，也同樣分了魚，都照他們所要的來分。

他母親對用人說：「他告訴你們甚麼，你們就做吧。」

他就吩咐眾人坐在地上，拿着這七個餅和幾條魚，祝謝了，擘開，遞給門徒；門徒又遞給眾人。

他們吃的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝福了，就擘開，遞給門徒，說：「你們拿去，吃吧。這是我的身體。」

耶穌吩咐他們，叫眾人一組一組地坐在青草地上。眾人就一羣一羣地坐下，有一百的，有五十的。耶穌拿着這五個餅和兩條魚，望着天祝福，擘開餅，遞給門徒，擺在眾人面前，也把那兩條魚分給眾人。他們都吃，並且吃飽了。門徒把餅和魚的碎屑收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。吃餅的男人共有五千。

我若謝恩而吃，為甚麼因我謝恩的物被人毀謗呢？所以，你們或吃或喝，無論做甚麼，都要為榮耀神而做。

另外有幾條從提比哩亞來的小船，卻停靠在主祝謝後給他們吃餅的地方附近。

你們無論做甚麼，或說話或行事，都要奉主耶穌的名，藉着他感謝父神。

坐下來和他們用餐的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝福了，擘開，遞給他們。

他們禁止嫁娶，又禁戒食物－就是神所造、讓那信而明白真理的人存感謝的心領受的。神所造之物樣樣都是好的，若存感謝的心領受，沒有一樣是不可吃的，都因神的話和人的祈禱而成為聖潔了。
