主人来了，看见仆人警醒，那些仆人就有福了。我实在告诉你们，主人会叫他们坐席，自己束上腰带，前来伺候他们。

你们一进城，他还没有上丘坛吃祭物之前，就会遇见他。因为他没有到，百姓不能吃，必须等他先为祭物祝谢，然后受邀的人才可以吃。现在就上去吧，因为这时候你们会遇见他。”

那时，男人约有五千。耶稣对门徒说：“叫他们分组坐下，每组大约五十个人。”门徒就这样做了，叫众人都坐下。

耶稣说：“拿过来给我。”于是他吩咐众人坐在草地上，就拿着这五个饼和两条鱼，望着天祝福，擘开饼，递给门徒，门徒又递给众人。

耶稣说：“你们叫大家坐下。”那地方的草多，人们就坐下，男人的数目约有五千。耶稣拿起饼来，祝谢了，就分给坐着的人，也同样分了鱼，都照他们所要的来分。

他母亲对用人说：“他告诉你们什么，你们就做吧。”

他就吩咐众人坐在地上，拿着这七个饼和几条鱼，祝谢了，擘开，递给门徒；门徒又递给众人。

他们吃的时候，耶稣拿起饼来，祝福了，就擘开，递给门徒，说：“你们拿去，吃吧。这是我的身体。”

耶稣吩咐他们，叫众人一组一组地坐在青草地上。众人就一群一群地坐下，有一百的，有五十的。耶稣拿着这五个饼和两条鱼，望着天祝福，擘开饼，递给门徒，摆在众人面前，也把那两条鱼分给众人。他们都吃，并且吃饱了。门徒把饼和鱼的碎屑收拾起来，装满了十二个篮子。吃饼的男人共有五千。

我若谢恩而吃，为什么因我谢恩的物被人毁谤呢？所以，你们或吃或喝，无论做什么，都要为荣耀神而做。

另外有几条从提比哩亚来的小船，却停靠在主祝谢后给他们吃饼的地方附近。

你们无论做什么，或说话或行事，都要奉主耶稣的名，藉着他感谢父神。

坐下来和他们用餐的时候，耶稣拿起饼来，祝福了，擘开，递给他们。

他们禁止嫁娶，又禁戒食物—就是神所造、让那信而明白真理的人存感谢的心领受的。神所造之物样样都是好的，若存感谢的心领受，没有一样是不可吃的，都因神的话和人的祈祷而成为圣洁了。
