主人來到了，看見僕人警醒，這些僕人就有福了。我實在告訴你們，主人必親自束腰，招待他們吃飯，進前來侍候他們。

你們一進城，在他登上邱壇吃祭物之前，必遇見他。因為他未到，眾人不能先吃，他必先為祭物祝謝，然後客人才可以吃。現在你們上去吧！今天，你們必可遇見他。”

原來男人就約有五千。他對門徒說：“叫他們一組一組地坐下，每組約五十人。”門徒就照他的話，叫眾人坐下。

他說：“拿過來給我。”於是吩咐群眾坐在草地上，拿起那五個餅兩條魚，望著天，祝謝了；然後把餅擘開，遞給門徒，門徒又分給群眾。

耶穌吩咐他們：“你們叫眾人坐下。”原來那地方的草很多，眾人就坐下，單是男人的數目約有五千。耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了，就分給坐著的人；分魚也是這樣，都是隨著他們所要的。

他母親告訴僕人說：“他吩咐你們甚麼，就作甚麼。”

他就吩咐群眾坐在地上，拿起那七個餅和那些魚，祝謝了，擘開遞給門徒，門徒又分給眾人。

他們吃的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了就擘開，遞給門徒，說：“你們拿去吃吧，這是我的身體。”

耶穌吩咐他們叫大家分組坐在青草地上。他們就一排一排地坐了下來，有一百的，有五十的。耶穌拿起這五個餅、兩條魚，望著天，祝謝了；然後把餅擘開，遞給門徒擺在群眾面前，又把兩條魚也分給群眾。大家都吃了，並且吃飽了。他們把剩下的零碎撿起來，裝滿了十二個籃子，吃餅的人，男人就有五千。

我若存著感恩的心吃了，為甚麼我因著我所感恩的食物被人毀謗呢？所以，你們或吃喝，或作甚麼，一切都要為神的榮耀而行。

不過有幾隻從提比里亞來的船停在那裡，靠近他們在主祝謝以後吃餅的地方。

凡你們所作的，無論是言語或行為，都要奉主耶穌的名，藉著他感謝父神。

到了吃飯的時候，他拿起餅來，感謝了，擘開遞給他們，

他們禁止嫁娶，禁戒食物。食物本是神所造的，是給信主和認識真理的人存感謝的心領受的。因為凡神所造的，都是好的，只要存感謝的心領受，沒有一樣是可以棄絕的；都因著神的道和人的祈求成為聖潔了。
