主人来到了，看见仆人警醒，这些仆人就有福了。我实在告诉你们，主人必亲自束腰，招待他们吃饭，进前来侍候他们。

你们一进城，在他登上邱坛吃祭物之前，必遇见他。因为他未到，众人不能先吃，他必先为祭物祝谢，然后客人才可以吃。现在你们上去吧！今天，你们必可遇见他。”

原来男人就约有五千。他对门徒说：“叫他们一组一组地坐下，每组约五十人。”门徒就照他的话，叫众人坐下。

他说：“拿过来给我。”于是吩咐群众坐在草地上，拿起那五个饼两条鱼，望着天，祝谢了；然后把饼擘开，递给门徒，门徒又分给群众。

耶稣吩咐他们：“你们叫众人坐下。”原来那地方的草很多，众人就坐下，单是男人的数目约有五千。耶稣拿起饼来，祝谢了，就分给坐着的人；分鱼也是这样，都是随着他们所要的。

他母亲告诉仆人说：“他吩咐你们什么，就作什么。”

他就吩咐群众坐在地上，拿起那七个饼和那些鱼，祝谢了，擘开递给门徒，门徒又分给众人。

他们吃的时候，耶稣拿起饼来，祝谢了就擘开，递给门徒，说：“你们拿去吃吧，这是我的身体。”

耶稣吩咐他们叫大家分组坐在青草地上。他们就一排一排地坐了下来，有一百的，有五十的。耶稣拿起这五个饼、两条鱼，望着天，祝谢了；然后把饼擘开，递给门徒摆在群众面前，又把两条鱼也分给群众。大家都吃了，并且吃饱了。他们把剩下的零碎捡起来，装满了十二个篮子，吃饼的人，男人就有五千。

我若存着感恩的心吃了，为什么我因着我所感恩的食物被人毁谤呢？所以，你们或吃喝，或作什么，一切都要为神的荣耀而行。

不过有几只从提比里亚来的船停在那里，靠近他们在主祝谢以后吃饼的地方。

凡你们所作的，无论是言语或行为，都要奉主耶稣的名，藉着他感谢父神。

到了吃饭的时候，他拿起饼来，感谢了，擘开递给他们，

他们禁止嫁娶，禁戒食物。食物本是神所造的，是给信主和认识真理的人存感谢的心领受的。因为凡神所造的，都是好的，只要存感谢的心领受，没有一样是可以弃绝的；都因着神的道和人的祈求成为圣洁了。
