主人回來，看見奴僕警醒等候，奴僕就有福了！我實在告訴你們，主人必束上腰帶請他們坐席，並親自服侍他們。

你們一進城，就會在他上邱壇吃祭物之前遇見他。因為他不來，人們不能吃，他要先為祭物祝謝後，人們才可以吃。你們現在上去吧，一定會遇見他。」

當時那裡約有五千男人。耶穌便對使徒說：「讓這些人分組坐下，每組大約五十人。」於是使徒安排眾人都坐好。

耶穌說：「拿來給我。」於是，祂叫眾人坐在草地上，然後拿起那五個餅和兩條魚，舉目望著天祝謝後，就掰開餅遞給門徒，讓他們分給眾人。

耶穌說：「你們叫大家坐下。」那地方草很多，眾人便坐下來，當時在場的男人大約有五千。耶穌拿起餅來祝謝後，分給坐著的眾人，然後又照樣分魚，眾人可以隨意吃。

祂母親對僕人說：「祂叫你們做什麼，你們就做什麼。」

耶穌便吩咐大家坐在地上。祂拿著那七個餅和幾條魚祝謝後，掰開，遞給門徒，門徒再分給大家。

他們吃的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝後掰開分給門徒，說：「拿去吃吧，這是我的身體。」

耶穌吩咐門徒叫大家分組坐在草地上。於是眾人坐下，有的五十人一組，有的一百人一組。耶穌拿起那五個餅、兩條魚，舉目望著天祝謝後，掰開遞給門徒，讓他們分給眾人。祂又照樣把那兩條魚分給眾人。大家都吃了，並且吃飽了。門徒把剩下的碎餅、碎魚收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。當時吃餅的男人有五千。

如果我存感恩的心吃，為什麼還要受批評呢？」所以，你們或吃或喝，無論做什麼，都要為上帝的榮耀而做。

後來有幾條從提比哩亞來的小船停泊在岸邊，靠近主祝謝後讓眾人吃餅的地方。

你們無論做什麼事、說什麼話，都要奉主耶穌的名而行，並藉著祂感謝父上帝。

吃飯的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝後，掰開遞給他們。

禁止人結婚和吃某些食物。其實那些食物是上帝創造的，為了讓相信並且明白真理的人存感恩的心領受。上帝所造的一切都是美好的，若以感恩的心去領受，就無需任何禁忌，因為上帝的道和人的禱告可以使食物聖潔。
