『又以七餅食四千人、爾檢其餘、復得若干筐？』曰『七。』

“又擘开那七个饼分给四千人，你们收拾的零碎装满了多少筐子呢？”他们说：“七个。”

耶穌問曰：『爾有餅幾許？』曰：『七、尚有小魚數尾。』乃命眾席地坐、持七餅及小魚、祝謝畢、剖而授徒、徒以授眾；咸食且飽、拾其餘屑盈七筐。除婦孺外、計食者四千人。

維時眾復群集、不得食、耶穌召門徒曰：『憫此群眾、與吾俱者三日、無以食；若令忍飢而歸、將踣于途、且有自遠方來者。』門徒曰：『荒郊安得餅餌、以飫若眾？』耶穌曰：『有餅幾何？』曰：『七。』乃令眾席地坐、持七餅、祝謝後、分授諸徒、以施于眾。諸徒乃置之眾前。復有小魚數尾、祝謝畢、亦令陳之。眾食且飽、檢拾餘屑、得七筐；人約四千。耶穌遣眾散、
