After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue.

耶穌拉著他的手，領他到村外，吐唾沫在他的眼睛上，又用雙手按在他的身上，問他：“你看見甚麼沒有？”

說了這話，就吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和了一點泥，把泥抹在瞎子的眼睛上，對他說：“你去西羅亞池洗一洗吧。”（西羅亞就是“奉差遣”的意思。）於是他就去了，洗完了，走的時候，就看見了。

眾人就嘲笑他。耶穌把眾人都趕出去，帶著孩子的父母和跟隨他的門徒，進入孩子所在的房間。

以利亞對她說：“把你的兒子交給我吧！”以利亞就從她的懷中把孩子接過來，抱他上到自己所住的樓上去，放在自己的床上。以利亞呼求耶和華說：“耶和華我的神啊，我寄居在這寡婦的家裡，你也降禍與她，使她的兒子死去嗎？”然後，以利亞三次伏在孩子的身上，向耶和華呼求說：“耶和華我的神，求你恢復這孩子的生命吧。”耶和華垂聽了以利亞的話，孩子的生命果然恢復，活過來了。

於是他進去，把自己和孩子二人關在門內，然後向耶和華禱告。他又上床伏在孩子身上，使自己的口對著孩子的口，自己的眼對著孩子的眼，自己的手放在孩子的手上；他伏在孩子身上，孩子的身體就漸漸溫暖起來。

然後回去，把你和你兒子關在家裡，你要把油倒在所有器皿裡面，裝滿了的就放在一邊。”於是婦人離開了他，把自己和兒子關在門內；她的兒子不住地把器皿拿到她面前，她就把油倒進去。器皿都倒滿了的時候，她對兒子說：“再拿一個器皿給我。”他對她說：“再沒有器皿了。”油就止住了。
