耶穌拉著瞎子的手帶他走到村外，吐唾沫在他的眼睛上，並把手按在他身上，問他：「你看見什麼了？」

耶穌講完後，便吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和泥抹在那盲人的眼睛上，對他說：「到西羅亞池去洗洗！」西羅亞是「奉差遣」的意思。那盲人照著去做，回來的時候已經能看見了。

這些人聽了，都譏笑祂。耶穌讓他們全部出去，然後帶著孩子的父母和三個門徒進了房間。

以利亞對婦人說：「把你兒子交給我。」隨後，他從婦人懷中接過孩子，抱到樓上自己的房間，放在床上。他向耶和華呼求道：「我的上帝耶和華啊，我寄居在這寡婦家裡，你為什麼降禍給她，奪去她兒子的性命呢？」他三次伏在孩子身上，求告耶和華說：「我的上帝耶和華啊，求你讓這孩子活過來吧。」耶和華聽了以利亞的祈求，孩子就活過來了。

就關上門，向耶和華祈禱。禱告後，他上床伏在孩子身上，口對口，眼對眼，手對手，孩子的身體漸漸變暖了。

然後回家關上門，你和你兒子在屋裡把那瓶油倒在所有借來的器皿中，裝滿的放在一邊。」於是，婦人辭別以利沙，回去後把自己和兒子關在屋裡，兒子遞給她器皿，她就倒油。器皿都裝滿了，她對兒子說：「再拿個器皿給我。」兒子說：「已經沒有了。」這時，油止住了。
