One of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at His feetand kept begging Him,“ My little daughter is at death’s door. Come and lay Your hands on her so she can get well and live.”

Then a man with a serious skin disease came to Him and, on his knees, begged Him:“ If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Bring him to Me.”So they brought him to Him. When the spirit saw Him, it immediately convulsed the boy. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.“ How long has this been happening to him?” Jesus asked his father.“ From childhood,” he said.“ And many times it has thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”Then Jesus said to him,“‘ If You can’? Everything is possible to the one who believes.”

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him.But Peter helped him up and said,“ Stand up! I myself am also a man.”

Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came with fear and trembling, fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth.
