Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.

Jesus went out to the lake with his disciples, and a large crowd followed him. They came from all over Galilee, Judea,Jerusalem, Idumea, from east of the Jordan River, and even from as far north as Tyre and Sidon. The news about his miracles had spread far and wide, and vast numbers of people came to see him.

“ What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse.

Then Jesus said,“ Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat.So they left by boat for a quiet place, where they could be alone.

They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them,“ Do you believe I can make you see?”“ Yes, Lord,” they told him,“ we do.”

“ Son of man, give the prince of Tyre this message from the Sovereign Lord:“ In your great pride you claim,‘ I am a god! I sit on a divine throne in the heart of the sea.’ But you are only a man and not a god, though you boast that you are a god.

When Jesus returned to Capernaum several days later, the news spread quickly that he was back home.
