因为这些东西不是进到人的心里，而是进入肚子，然后排到厕所里去。”耶稣这样就使一切食物都洁净。

“食物是为了肚子，肚子是为了食物”，但神将要把这两样都废除。身体不是为了淫乱，而是为了主；主也是为了身体。

那声音第二次从天上传来，说：‘神所洁净的，你不可当做污秽的。’

那声音第二次又对他说：“神所洁净的，你不可当做污秽的。”

你们难道不明白：一切进入口里的，要进到肚子，然后被排到厕所；

所以，在吃喝的事上，或在有关节日、月朔或安息日的事上，不要让人评断你们。

“不可碰，不可尝，不可摸”之类的条例呢？这些东西都是一经使用就要衰朽的，是出于人的规条和教义；

不过你们当把里面的施舍给人，看哪，对你们来说一切就都洁净了。

你们要接纳在信仰上软弱的人，避免在有争议的事上辩论。虽然有的人相信什么都可以吃，但那软弱的人却只吃蔬菜。吃的人不要藐视不吃的人，不吃的人也不要评断吃的人，因为神已经接纳他了。你到底是谁，竟然评断别人的仆人？他或站稳或跌倒，是他自己主人的事；而且他会站得住，因为主能使他站得住。虽然有的人判定这一天比那一天重要，但有的人却判定每一天都一样。每个人当在自己理性上确信不疑。注重某一天的人，是为主而注重的；吃的人，是为主而吃的，因为他感谢神；不吃的人，也是为主不吃的，他也感谢神。我们没有一个人是为自己而活，也没有一个人是为自己而死。就是说，我们如果活着，是为主而活；如果死了，是为主而死。所以，我们无论是活着，还是死了，总是属于主。正是为此，基督死了，而且复活了，要做死人和活人的主。至于你，为什么评断你的弟兄呢？又为什么藐视你的弟兄呢？要知道，我们都要站在神的审判台前，因为经上记着：“主说：我指着我的永生起誓，万膝将向我跪下，万口将承认神。”由此可见，我们每个人都要把自己的事向神做出交代。
