And He said to them,“ Are you also as lacking in understanding? Don’t you realize that nothing going into a man from the outside can defile him?

So He said to them,“ Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him,

And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Perceive ye not, that whatsoever from without goeth into the man, it cannot defile him;

And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man,[ it] cannot defile him;

He said to them,“ Are you so foolish? Don’t you understand that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him?

He said to them,“ Are you also without understanding? Don’t you perceive that whatever goes into the man from outside can’t defile him,

“ Are even you still lacking in understanding?” He asked.“ Don’t you realize that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is eliminated?

He said to them,“ How unwise and slow you are to believe in your hearts all that the prophets have spoken!

Then I thought: They are just the poor; they have played the fool. For they don’t understand the way of the Lord, the justice of their God.I will go to the powerful and speak to them. Surely they know the way of the Lord, the justice of their God. However, these also had broken the yoke and torn off the chains.

Why is it you don’t understand that when I told you,‘ Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees,’ it wasn’t about bread?”

I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, because you were not yet ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready,

“ Are you a teacher of Israel and don’t know these things?” Jesus replied.

Who is he trying to teach? Who is he trying to instruct? Infants just weaned from milk? Babies removed from the breast?For he says:“ Law after law, law after law, line after line, line after line, a little here, a little there.”

We have a great deal to say about this, and it’s difficult to explain, since you have become too lazy to understand.

Then He said to them:“ Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any of the parables?
