這就藉着你們所傳授的、你們的傳統規矩、以取消上帝的話了！你們還作了許多這樣相類的事呢。」

這樣，你們就藉著所繼承的傳統，廢棄了神的話語。你們還做很多類似這樣的事。」

是爾以所授遺傳、廢上帝道、爾之所為多類此、

是爾曹以所受之遺傳、廢天主道、且爾多行類此之事、

是以爾之習俗、廢天主之聖道也。爾之所為、類若斯。』

Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”

You make the word of God useless by putting your own teachings in its place. And you do many things like this.”

耶穌又說：「你們誠然是廢棄上帝的誡命，為要守自己的傳統。

不要聽猶太人無稽的傳說和背棄真理之人的命令。

「不要以為我來是要廢掉律法和先知。我來不是要廢掉，而是要成全。我實在告訴你們，就是到天地都廢去，律法的一點一畫也不能廢去，直到一切都實現。所以，無論誰廢掉這誡命中最小的一條，又教導人也這樣做，他在天國裏要稱為最小的。但無論誰遵行並如此教導人的，他在天國裏要稱為大。我告訴你們，你們的義若不勝過文士和法利賽人的義，絕不能進天國。」

我為他寫了許多條律法，他卻以為與他毫無關係。

法利賽人和所有的猶太人都拘守古人的傳統，若不按規矩洗手就不吃飯；

「看哪，他若生了兒子，兒子見父親所犯的一切罪，他見了，卻不照樣去做；

嫉妒、醉酒、荒宴等類。我從前告訴過你們，現在又告訴你們，做這樣事的人必不能承受上帝的國。

就可以不孝敬他的父親。』這就是你們藉着傳統，廢了上帝的話。

當以教誨和律法書為準；人所說的若不與此相符，必沒有黎明。

「你們怎麼說：『我們有智慧，耶和華的律法在我們這裏』？看哪，其實文士的假筆舞弄虛假。智慧人慚愧，驚惶，被擒拿；看哪，他們背棄耶和華的話，還會有甚麼智慧呢？
