未既、七十二人欣然而返、報曰：『緣主之名、鬼魔亦受制於吾儕矣！』主曰：『曩者予親睹沙殫如閃電自天而隕。識之哉！予已授爾以權能、俾爾蹂踐蛇蝎、降伏邪魔、所向莫之能害。第勿以鬼神服爾為喜、應以爾名書於天上自慶也。』

往矣、予遣爾等、猶羔羊入狼群！勿攜錢囊糧袋、及屐履等物。途中亦勿與人招呼。入一家、必先祝其平安；倘有平安子在、則爾之平安臨之；否則所祝仍反於爾。居是家、就其日常所備者、食焉飲焉；工而得值、孰云不宜。居則安之、毋輕徙。入一邑、見納、食其所供、治其病者、告邑人曰：「天主之國、已近爾矣！」入一邑、而不見納、則出至通衢、而告之曰：「爾邑之塵着我足、茲當爾拂去之。第爾應知天主之國在邇矣！」予實語爾、他日、索多瑪之刑較斯邑猶易受也。

耶穌召集十二徒、授以制魔治疾之權能、遣其宣揚天主國、施醫濟眾、囑曰：『首途勿有所攜、毋杖毋囊、毋糧毋銀、毋二衣、入一家居之、以至別時、勿輕徙、有不爾納者、離時拂去足塵、以證其非。』諸徒出、徧歷鄉村、傳布福音、隨處施醫。

昧爽、召門徒至、就中簡選十二人、稱為宗徒。十二人者、為西門、即耶穌錫名伯鐸祿者、及弟安德烈、更有雅谷伯、若望、斐理伯、巴爾多樂茂、瑪竇、多默、亞爾咈子雅谷伯、奮銳黨西門、雅谷伯之弟樹德、尚有茹答斯·依斯加略、即日後鬻主者也。

耶穌登山、隨其意之所悅以召人、莫不從。立十二人為宗徒、得常侍左右、並遣之傳道、

信者恆有神跡隨之、藉我名以祛鬼魔、以操新語、

耶穌既召十二門徒、乃授以制伏邪魔之權、用以祛魔治病。十二門徒之名如下：第一、西門亦名伯鐸祿、其弟安德烈、慈伯德子雅各伯暨弟若望、斐理伯、巴爾多祿茂、多默、稅吏瑪竇、亞爾咈子雅谷伯、樹德、加納人西門、茹答斯依斯加略、斯即日後鬻主者。耶穌遣十二子而諭之曰：『勿往異邦、勿入色馬里城邑、

毋攜金銀錢幣於爾腰帶。首途無行囊、無二衣、無履杖。蓋勞作者、不患無食也。凡入城村、必探訪其可依者而居之、以迄他往。入一家、祝其平安。若其家堪當所祝、則爾之平安臨之；若不堪當、則爾之平安仍返乎爾。人不爾納、不聽爾言、則離其宅、去其邑、拂爾足塵；

厥後主又簡七十二人、使其兩兩成行、豫往其將親蒞之城鄉、

吾當遣派二證者、披麻而預言、凡一千二百又六十日。」
