Then they were willing to take Him on board, and at once the boat was at the shore where they were heading.

But He said to them,“ Why are you fearful, you of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea. And there was a great calm.The men were amazed and asked,“ What kind of man is this?— even the winds and the sea obey Him!”

They came and woke Him up, saying,“ Master, Master, we’re going to die!” Then He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waves. So they ceased, and there was a calm.He said to them,“ Where is your faith?” They were fearful and amazed, asking one another,“ Who can this be? He commands even the winds and the waves, and they obey Him!”

They were extremely astonished and said,“ He has done everything well! He even makes deaf people hear, and people unable to speak, talk!”

“ Lord, if it’s You,” Peter answered Him,“ command me to come to You on the water.”“ Come!” He said. And climbing out of the boat, Peter started walking on the water and came toward Jesus.But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid. And beginning to sink he cried out,“ Lord, save me!”Immediately Jesus reached out His hand, caught hold of him, and said to him,“ You of little faith, why did you doubt?”When they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

Immediately he got up, picked up the mat, and went out in front of everyone. As a result, they were all astounded and gave glory to God, saying,“ We have never seen anything like this!”

Then they were all amazed, so they began to argue with one another, saying,“ What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

Immediately the girl got up and began to walk.( She was 12 years old.) At this they were utterly astounded.

So they went away in the boat by themselves to a remote place,

And they were terrified and asked one another,“ Who then is this? Even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

The floods have lifted up, Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their pounding waves.Greater than the roar of many waters— the mighty breakers of the sea— the Lord on high is majestic.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress.He stilled the storm to a murmur, and the waves of the sea were hushed.They rejoiced when the waves grew quiet. Then He guided them to the harbor they longed for.
