And he swore to her,“ Whatever you ask of me, I will give it to you, up to half of my kingdom.”

又誓曰、凡爾所求、即我國之半、我亦予爾、

且誓曰：『雖平分國土、吾亦弗吝。』

And he promised her with an oath,“ Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”

And he gave her his promise. He said to her,“ Anything you ask for I will give you. I’ll give you up to half my kingdom.”

And he vowed to her,“ Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”

so much that he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked.

Then he said,“ May God do so to me and more so, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat remains on him today.”

But I say to you, take no oath at all, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God,nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.Nor shall you take an oath by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.But make sure your statement is,‘ Yes, yes’ or‘ No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil origin.

and he said to Him,“ All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.”

If you have been ensnared by the words of your mouth, Or caught by the words of your mouth,

So Saul swore an oath to her by the Lord, saying,“ As the Lord lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing.”
