Jesus was going all over Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

When Jesus had finished this sermon, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,

Then they went into Capernaum, and right away He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath and began to teach.They were astonished at His teaching because, unlike the scribes, He was teaching them as one having authority.

So He went into all of Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

They were saying,“ Isn’t this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can He now say,‘ I have come down from heaven’?”

Then the Jews were amazed and said,“ How does He know the Scriptures, since He hasn’t been trained?”

He was teaching in their synagogues, being acclaimed by everyone.

When they observed the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed and recognized that they had been with Jesus.And since they saw the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in response.
