Herod said,“ I myself had John beheaded; but who is this man about whom I hear such things?” And he kept trying to see Him.

saying,“ I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” But they said,“ What is that to us? You shall see to it yourself!”

and on the vine were three branches. And as it was budding, its blossoms came out, and its clusters produced ripe grapes.Now Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; so I took the grapes and squeezed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I put the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.”

and said to his servants,“ This is John the Baptist; he himself has been raised from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”

They were in great fear there, where no fear had been; For God scattered the bones of him who encamped against you; You put them to shame, because God had rejected them.
