凡不接爾不聽爾者、離彼時、拂去足塵、以為之證、我誠告爾、當審判日、所多瑪俄摩拉之刑、較斯邑之刑、猶易受也、有原文抄本自我誠告爾句起至節末皆缺

任何地區有不納爾、不遵爾者、行時、拂爾足塵、以證其非。』

And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

Some places may not welcome you or listen to you. If they don’t, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet. That will be a witness against the people living there.”

And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them.”

But if any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”

When they opposed him and reviled him, he protested by shaking out his clothes and said to them,“ Your blood be on your own heads! I am guiltless! From now on I will go to the Gentiles!”

Nevertheless know this: The kingdom of God has come.’I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town!“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you!And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will be thrown down to Hades!

But the Jews incited the God- fearing women of high social standing and the prominent men of the city, stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their region.So after they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them, they went to Iconium.

So also Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighboring towns, since they indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire in a way similar to these angels, are now displayed as an example by suffering the punishment of eternal fire.

and if he turned to ashes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah when he condemned them to destruction, having appointed them to serve as an example to future generations of the ungodly,

I tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak.

Wherever they do not receive you, as you leave that town, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

Then Jesus began to criticize openly the cities in which he had done many of his miracles, because they did not repent.“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you!And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will be thrown down to Hades! For if the miracles done among you had been done in Sodom, it would have continued to this day.But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you!”

– if so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials, and to reserve the unrighteous for punishment at the day of judgment,

For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us,but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume God’s enemies.Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much greater punishment do you think that person deserves who has contempt for the Son of God, and profanes the blood of the covenant that made him holy, and insults the Spirit of grace?For we know the one who said,“ Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” and again,“ The Lord will judge his people.”It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. But they no longer have any excuse for their sin.The one who hates me hates my Father too.If I had not performed among them the miraculous deeds that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen the deeds and have hated both me and my Father.

on the day when God will judge the secrets of human hearts, according to my gospel through Christ Jesus.

As surely as I live, declares the sovereign LORD, your sister Sodom and her daughters never behaved as wickedly as you and your daughters have behaved.“‘ See here– this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters had majesty, abundance of food, and enjoyed carefree ease, but they did not help the poor and needy.They were haughty and practiced abominable deeds before me. Therefore when I saw it I removed them.Samaria has not committed half the sins you have; you have done more abominable deeds than they did. You have made your sisters appear righteous with all the abominable things you have done.

For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit,tasted the good word of God and the miracles of the coming age,and then have committed apostasy, to renew them again to repentance, since they are crucifying the Son of God for themselves all over again and holding him up to contempt.For the ground that has soaked up the rain that frequently falls on it and yields useful vegetation for those who tend it receives a blessing from God.But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is useless and about to be cursed; its fate is to be burned.

But by the same word the present heavens and earth have been reserved for fire, by being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!
