言未畢、有人自會董家來報曰：『汝女已死、何復勞師？』

While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader.“ Your daughter is dead,” they said.“ Why bother the teacher anymore?”

马大说了这话，就回去暗暗地叫她妹子马利亚，说：“夫子来了，叫你。”

有一个管会堂的人，名叫睚鲁，来见耶稣，就俯伏在他脚前，

还说话的时候，有人从管会堂的家里来，说：“你的女儿死了，不要劳动夫子。”

耶稣出来行路的时候，有一个人跑来，跪在他面前，问他说：“良善的夫子，我当做什么事才可以承受永生？”

马利亚到了耶稣那里，看见他，就俯伏在他脚前，说：“主啊，你若早在这里，我兄弟必不死。”

我实实在在地告诉你们，时候将到，现在就是了，死人要听见神儿子的声音，听见的人就要活了。

马大对耶稣说：“主啊，你若早在这里，我兄弟必不死。

耶稣说：“你们把石头挪开。”那死人的姐姐马大对他说：“主啊，他现在必是臭了，因为他死了已经四天了。”

耶稣对她说：“复活在我，生命也在我。信我的人虽然死了，也必复活；

耶稣就和他们同去。离那家不远，百夫长托几个朋友去见耶稣，对他说：“主啊！不要劳动；因你到我舍下，我不敢当。我也自以为不配去见你，只要你说一句话，我的仆人就必好了。

耶稣说：“你们进城去，到某人那里，对他说：‘夫子说：我的时候快到了，我与门徒要在你家里守逾越节。’”
