He lived among the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain.

那人常住在坟茔里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不能；

那人以坟场为家，从来没有人能把他捆住，就算用铁链也锁不住他。

那人经常住在坟墓中间，从来没有人能绑住他，甚至用锁链都不能。

这个人住在墓地里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不行。

那人常住在墳塋裏，沒有人能捆住他，就是用鐵鍊也不能；

那人常住在墳墓裏，沒有人能捆住他，就是用鐵鏈也不能；

那個人把塋墓中間當做住所；再沒有人能捆住他，就是用鎖鍊也不能；

這個人住在墓地裡，沒有人能捆住他，就是用鐵鏈也不行。

其人素居於塚、雖以鏈亦莫能縛之、

其人素居塚、無有能以鐵索繫之者、

其人素居於墓、雖以鐵索繫之、亦徒然、

是人素居墓中、雖鐵索亦不足以繫之、

This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain.

The man lived in the tombs. No one could keep him tied up anymore. Not even a chain could hold him.

He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain,

This man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain.

He lived in the tombs, and no one was able to restrain him anymore— not even with a chain—

He lived in the tombs. Nobody could bind him any more, not even with chains,

They sit among the tombs and keep watch all night long. They eat pork, and broth from unclean sacrificial meat is in their pans.

You will be driven from human society, and you will live with the wild animals. You will be fed grass like oxen, and seven periods of time will pass by for you before you understand that the Most High is ruler over human kingdoms and gives them to whomever he wishes.”Now in that very moment this pronouncement about Nebuchadnezzar came true. He was driven from human society, he ate grass like oxen, and his body became damp with the dew of the sky, until his hair became long like an eagle’s feathers, and his nails like a bird’s claws.

For Jesus had started commanding the evil spirit to come out of the man.( For it had seized him many times, so he would be bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard. But he would break the restraints and be driven by the demon into deserted places.)

Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, but they were not able to do so.”He answered them,“ You unbelieving generation! How much longer must I be with you? How much longer must I endure you? Bring him to me.”So they brought the boy to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.Jesus asked his father,“ How long has this been happening to him?” And he said,“ From childhood.It has often thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if you are able to do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
