He lived among the tombs; and no one was able to bind him anymore, not even with a chain,

那人常住在坟茔里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不能；

这个人住在墓地里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不行。

那人常住在墳塋裏，沒有人能捆住他，就是用鐵鍊也不能；

其人素居於塚、雖以鏈亦莫能縛之、

其人素居塚、無有能以鐵索繫之者、

其人素居於墓、雖以鐵索繫之、亦徒然、

是人素居墓中、雖鐵索亦不足以繫之、

This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain.

The man lived in the tombs. No one could keep him tied up anymore. Not even a chain could hold him.

He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain,

This man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain.

Who sit among graves and spend the night in secret places; Who eat pig’s flesh, And the broth of unclean meat is in their pots.

and you will be driven away from mankind, and your dwelling place will be with the animals of the field. You will be given grass to eat like cattle, and seven periods of time will pass over you until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes.’Immediately the word concerning Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled; and he was driven away from mankind and began eating grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.

For He had already commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had seized him many times; and he was bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard, and yet he would break the restraints and be driven by the demon into the desert.

and whenever it seizes him, it slams him to the ground, and he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth and becomes stiff. And I told Your disciples so that they would cast it out, but they could not do it.”And He answered them and* said,“ O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”And they brought the boy to Him. When he saw Him, the spirit immediately threw him into convulsions, and falling to the ground, he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth.And He asked his father,“ How long has this been happening to him?” And he said,“ From childhood.It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to kill him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”
