He lived in the tombs. No one was able to restrain him anymore— even with chains—

那人常住在坟茔里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不能；

那人常住在坟墓里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不能；

那人以坟场为家，从来没有人能把他捆住，就算用铁链也锁不住他。

那人经常住在坟墓中间，从来没有人能绑住他，甚至用锁链都不能。

这个人住在墓地里，没有人能捆住他，就是用铁链也不行。

那人常住在墳塋裏，沒有人能捆住他，就是用鐵鍊也不能；

那人常住在墳墓裏，沒有人能捆住他，就是用鐵鏈也不能；

那個人把塋墓中間當做住所；再沒有人能捆住他，就是用鎖鍊也不能；

其人素居於塚、雖以鏈亦莫能縛之、

其人素居塚、無有能以鐵索繫之者、

其人素居於墓、雖以鐵索繫之、亦徒然、

是人素居墓中、雖鐵索亦不足以繫之、

This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain.

The man lived in the tombs. No one could keep him tied up anymore. Not even a chain could hold him.

He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain,

This man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain.

He lived in the tombs. Nobody could bind him any more, not even with chains,

sitting among the graves, spending nights in secret places, eating the meat of pigs, and putting polluted broth in their bowls.

You will be driven away from people to live with the wild animals, and you will feed on grass like cattle for seven periods of time, until you acknowledge that the Most High is ruler over the kingdom of men, and He gives it to anyone He wants.”At that moment the sentence against Nebuchadnezzar was executed. He was driven away from people. He ate grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with dew from the sky, until his hair grew like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.

For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was guarded, bound by chains and shackles, he would snap the restraints and be driven by the demon into deserted places.

Wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I asked Your disciples to drive it out, but they couldn’t.”He replied to them,“ You unbelieving generation! How long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to Me.”So they brought him to Him. When the spirit saw Him, it immediately convulsed the boy. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.“ How long has this been happening to him?” Jesus asked his father.“ From childhood,” he said.“ And many times it has thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
