The first time you did not carry it; that is why the LORD God attacked us, because we did not ask him about the proper way to carry it.”

They are absolutely terrified, for God defends the godly.

As Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man from the town met him who was possessed by demons. For a long time this man had worn no clothes and had not lived in a house, but among the tombs.

Can spoils be taken from a warrior, or captives be rescued from a conqueror?Indeed,” says the LORD,“ captives will be taken from a warrior; spoils will be rescued from a conqueror. I will oppose your adversary and I will rescue your children.

So the people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus. They found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.Those who had seen it told them how the man who had been demon- possessed had been healed.

Those who had seen what had happened to the demon- possessed man reported it, and they also told about the pigs.

David was afraid of God that day and said,“ How will I ever be able to bring the ark of God up here?”

For his hands and feet had often been bound with chains and shackles, but he had torn the chains apart and broken the shackles in pieces. No one was strong enough to subdue him.
