When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

And he asked him, What[ is] thy name? And he answered, saying, My name[ is] Legion: for we are many.

For because ye[ did it] not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.

There were they in great fear: for God[ is] in the generation of the righteous.

And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in[ any] house, but in the tombs.

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.

Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?

And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.They also which saw[ it] told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

And they that saw[ it] told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and[ also] concerning the swine.

And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God[ home] to me?

Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any[ man] tame him.
