因为神赐给我们，不是胆怯的心，乃是刚强、仁爱、谨守的心。

耶稣问他说：“你名叫什么？”回答说：“我名叫‘群’，因为我们多的缘故”；

因你们先前没有抬这约柜，按定例求问耶和华我们的神，所以他刑罚我们。”

他们在那里大大地害怕，因为神在义人的族类中。

耶稣上了岸，就有城里一个被鬼附着的人迎面而来。这个人许久不穿衣服，不住房子，只住在坟茔里。

勇士抢去的岂能夺回？该掳掠的岂能解救吗？但耶和华如此说：“就是勇士所掳掠的，也可以夺回；强暴人所抢的，也可以解救。与你相争的，我必与他相争；我要拯救你的儿女。

她有一个妹子，名叫马利亚，在耶稣脚前坐着听他的道。

他的尊荣岂不叫你们惧怕吗？他的惊吓岂不临到你们吗？

耶稣上船的时候，那从前被鬼附着的人恳求和耶稣同在。

他的名声就传遍了叙利亚。那里的人把一切害病的，就是害各样疾病、各样疼痛的和被鬼附的、癫痫的、瘫痪的，都带了来，耶稣就治好了他们。

鬼被赶出去，哑巴就说出话来。众人都希奇，说：“在以色列中，从来没有见过这样的事。”

人怎能进壮士家里，抢夺他的家具呢？除非先捆住那壮士，才可以抢夺他的家财。

众人出来要看是什么事；到了耶稣那里，看见鬼所离开的那人，坐在耶稣脚前，穿着衣服，心里明白过来，他们就害怕。看见这事的便将被鬼附着的人怎么得救告诉他们。

看见这事的，便将鬼附之人所遇见的和那群猪的事都告诉了众人；

那日，大卫惧怕神，说：“神的约柜怎可运到我这里来？”

因为人屡次用脚镣和铁链捆锁他，铁链竟被他挣断了，脚镣也被他弄碎了；总没有人能制伏他。
