When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

实际上，神所赐给我们的，不是胆怯的灵，而是大能、慈爱、自制的灵。

耶稣问他：“你叫什么名字？”他回答说：“我名叫‘军团’，因为我们众多。”

然而，他们会大大恐惧，因为神与那世代的义人同在。

耶稣刚上岸，那城里一个有鬼魔附身的人就迎面而来。这个人已经很长时间不穿衣服，不住在家里，而住在墓地里。

勇士的掳物能被夺回吗？强横者的俘虏能被救出吗？然而耶和华如此说：“就算是勇士的俘虏，也必被夺回；强横者的掳物，也必被救出。与你争斗的，我必亲自与他争斗；至于你的儿女，我必亲自拯救。

玛妲有个妹妹，称为玛丽亚，坐在主的脚前听他的话语。

耶稣上船的时候，那曾被鬼魔附身的人恳求他，要与他在一起。

他的消息就在全叙利亚省传开了。人们把所有的病人，就是患各种疾病的、受疼痛折磨的、有鬼魔附身的、癫痫的、瘫痪的，都带到耶稣那里。耶稣就使他们痊愈。

鬼魔一被赶出去，哑巴就说出话来。众人都感到惊奇，他们说：“这样的事，在以色列从来没有见过。”

人怎么能进入一个壮士的家抢夺他的东西呢？如果不先把那壮士捆住，就不能抢夺他的家。

人们就出来，要看所发生的事，他们来到耶稣那里，看见鬼魔所离开的那人，穿着衣服，神志清醒地坐在耶稣脚前，他们就惧怕起来。那些看见的人，就告诉大家被鬼魔附身的人怎样得到救治。

那些看见的人，把发生在有鬼魔附身的人身上和有关猪群的事，都告诉了大家。

他经常被脚镣和铁链捆起来，然而他总是挣断铁链、打碎脚镣。没有人能制伏他。
