The men marveled, saying,“ What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.

He said to them,“ Where is your faith?” Being afraid they marveled, saying to one another,“ Who is this then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased.

Who wouldn’t fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you only are holy. For all the nations will come and worship before you. For your righteous acts have been revealed.”

and said,‘ You may come here, but no further. Your proud waves shall be stopped here?’

But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

So Samuel called to Yahweh; and Yahweh sent thunder and rain that day. Then all the people greatly feared Yahweh and Samuel.All the people said to Samuel,“ Pray for your servants to Yahweh your God, that we not die; for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for a king.”Samuel said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. You have indeed done all this evil; yet don’t turn away from following Yahweh, but serve Yahweh with all your heart.

“ My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might be reverent toward me; and he was reverent toward me, and stood in awe of my name.

So they took up Jonah, and threw him into the sea; and the sea ceased its raging.Then the men feared Yahweh exceedingly; and they offered a sacrifice to Yahweh, and made vows.

He said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear Yahweh, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.”Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him,“ What have you done?” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of Yahweh, because he had told them.

They were astonished beyond measure, saying,“ He has done all things well. He makes even the deaf hear, and the mute speak!”

Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can’t be shaken, let’s have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,

Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying,“ What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
