When He assigned to the sea its limit, So that the waters would not transgress His command, When He marked out the foundations of the earth,

Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord.‘ Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, Yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.

When I said,‘ This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!’

Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice; The floods lift up their waves.The Lord on high is mightier Than the noise of many waters, Than the mighty waves of the sea.

At Your rebuke they fled; At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.They went up over the mountains; They went down into the valleys, To the place which You founded for them.You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, That they may not return to cover the earth.

For the Lord will not cast off forever.

He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, And dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither, And the flower of Lebanon wilts.

So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.

Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained.But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
