Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him,“ Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

And yet Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they* woke Him and* said to Him,“ Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

你們要將一切的憂慮卸給上帝，因為他顧念你們。

因為我們的大祭司並非不能體恤我們的軟弱；他也在各方面受過試探，與我們一樣，只是他沒有犯罪。

耶和華啊，有這些事，你還能忍受嗎？你還靜默，使我們大受苦難嗎？

你若切切尋求上帝，向全能者懇求；你若純潔正直，他必定為你興起，使你公義的居所興旺。

「難道主要永遠丟棄我，不再施恩嗎？難道他的慈愛永遠窮盡，他的應許世世廢棄嗎？難道上帝忘記施恩，因發怒就止住他的憐憫嗎？」（細拉）我說，至高者右手的能力已改變，這是我的悲哀。

到了正午，以利亞嘲笑他們，說：「大聲求告吧！因為它是神明，它或許在默想，或許正忙着，或許在路上，或許在睡覺，它該醒過來了。」他們大聲求告，按着他們的儀式，用刀槍刺割自己，直到渾身流血。中午過去了，他們狂呼亂叫，直到獻晚祭的時候，卻沒有聲音，沒有回應的，也沒有理睬的。

耶和華召你，如同召回心中憂傷遭遺棄的婦人，就是年輕時所娶被遺棄的妻子；這是你的上帝說的。我離棄你不過片時，卻要大施憐憫將你尋回。我因漲溢的怒氣，一時向你轉臉，但我要以永遠的慈愛憐憫你；這是耶和華－你的救贖主說的。

耶和華啊，你為甚麼站在遠處？在患難的時候為甚麼隱藏？惡人驕橫地追逼困苦人；願他們陷在自己所設的計謀裏。

門徒去叫醒他，說：「主啊，救命啊，我們快沒命啦！」

雅各啊，你為何說，以色列啊，你為何言，「我的道路向耶和華隱藏，我的冤屈上帝並不查問」？你豈不曾知道嗎？你豈未曾聽見嗎？永在的上帝耶和華，創造地極的主，他不疲乏，也不困倦；他的智慧無法測度。

錫安說：「耶和華離棄了我，主忘記了我。」婦人焉能忘記她吃奶的嬰孩，不憐憫她所生的兒子？即或有忘記的，我卻不忘記你。看哪，我將你銘刻在我掌上，你的城牆常在我眼前。

求你從天上，從你神聖榮耀的居所垂顧觀看。你的熱心和你大能的作為在哪裏呢？你內心的關懷和你的憐憫向我們停止了。

耶和華的膀臂啊，興起，興起！以能力為衣穿上，像古時的年日，像上古的世代一樣興起！從前砍碎拉哈伯、刺透大魚的，不是你嗎？使海與深淵的水乾涸，在海的深處開路，使救贖的民走過的，不是你嗎？

主啊，求你睡醒，為何儘睡呢？求你醒來，不要永遠丟棄我們！你為何轉臉，不顧我們所遭的苦難和所受的欺壓呢？

所以，他凡事應當與他的弟兄相同，為要在上帝的事上成為慈悲忠信的大祭司，為百姓的罪獻上贖罪祭。

我的上帝，我的上帝，為甚麼離棄我？為甚麼遠離不救我，不聽我的呻吟？我的上帝啊，我白日呼求，你不應允；夜間呼求，也不得安寧。

門徒去叫醒他，說：「老師！老師！我們快沒命啦！」耶穌醒了，斥責那狂風大浪，風浪就止住，平靜了。

雅各井就在那裏；耶穌因旅途疲乏，坐在井旁。那時約是正午。

儘管我哀號求救，他仍攔阻我的禱告。
