你们要把一切忧虑都卸给神，因为他顾念你们。

因为我们的大祭司不是不能同情我们的种种软弱，而是在各方面照着与我们相同的样式受过试探，只是没有犯罪。

耶和华啊，对这些事，你还要保持克制吗？你还要静默，使我们极度受苦待吗？

难道主要永远抛弃我们，不再悦纳我们吗？难道他的慈爱永久消逝，他的言语断绝，直到万代吗？难道神忘记了施恩，在怒气中收起了他的怜悯吗？细拉我就说：“我痛心的是：至高者右手的能力变了。”

因为耶和华召唤你，像召唤被离弃、灵里忧伤的妻子，就是年轻时所娶又被弃绝的妻子。”这是你的神说的。“我只是短暂地离弃了你，但我要以极大的怜悯招聚你；我在怒气涨溢的时候，曾经短暂地向你掩面，但我要以永远的慈爱怜悯你。”这是耶和华你的救赎主说的。

耶和华啊，你为什么站在远处，在灾难之时隐藏呢？恶人因着自高追逼困苦人，愿他们被自己谋划的诡计抓住！

门徒们上前来叫醒他，说：“主啊，救救我们，我们没命了！”

雅各啊，你为什么说，以色列啊，你为什么声称：“我的道路从耶和华面前隐藏了，我应得的公正被我的神忽略了”？难道你不知道吗？难道你没有听过吗？永恒的神耶和华——创造地极的主，他不疲倦，也不困乏；他的聪慧无法测度。

锡安说：“耶和华离弃了我，我的主忘记了我！”耶和华说：“女人怎能忘记自己吃奶的婴孩，不怜悯她亲生的孩子呢？即使她们可能忘记，我也不会忘记你。看哪！我已经把你刻在我的手掌上，你的城墙一直在我面前。

求你从天上垂看，从你圣洁、荣耀的崇高居所观看！你的热心和你的大能在哪里呢？你内心的激情和你的怜悯向我们止住了。

耶和华的膀臂啊，醒来，醒来，以力量为衣！醒来吧，就像你在太初的日子、亘古的世代！从前砍碎拉哈伯、刺透海中巨兽的，难道不是你吗？使海洋深渊之水干涸的，使海洋深处变为道路，让救赎之民经过的，难道不是你吗？

主啊，求你醒起！你为什么还在沉睡？求你醒来，不要永久抛弃我们！你为什么要隐藏你的脸，忘记我们所受的苦难和压迫呢？

故此，他必须在各方面都像他的弟兄们那样，为要在属神的事上成为怜悯人的、忠心的大祭司，好为子民的罪孽献上平息祭。

我的神，我的神，你为什么离弃我？为什么远离不救我，不听我哀哼的话语？我的神哪，我白天呼求，你不回应；我在夜间也得不到安宁！

门徒们上前来叫醒耶稣，说：“老师，老师，我们没命了！”耶稣就起来，斥责风和浪，风浪就止息，湖面就变得平静。

雅各井就在那里。耶稣因旅途劳累，就坐在井边。那时大约是中午十二点。
