耶稣离开群众，进到屋里，门徒前来问他：“请你给我们解释田里稗子的比喻。”他回答：“那撒好种子的是人子，田就是世界，好种子就是属天国的人，稗子就是属那恶者的人，撒稗子的仇敌是魔鬼，收割的时候是这世代的终结，收割的工人是天使。稗子怎样被拔掉用火焚烧，在这世代终结的时候，也是一样。那时，人子要差派他的使者，把一切使人犯罪的事和不法之徒，从他的国中拔掉，丢进火炉，在那里必要哀哭切齿。那时，义人在他们父的国中，要像太阳一样的照耀。有耳的，就应当听。

于是他从摩西和众先知起，把所有关于自己的经文，都给他们解释明白了。

耶稣独自一人的时候，那些经常跟着他的人和十二门徒，来问这些比喻的意义。

主对他们说：“这就是我从前与你们同在的时候，对你们说过的话：摩西的律法、先知书和诗篇上所记关于我的一切事，都必定应验。”于是他开他们的心窍，使他们明白圣经；又说：“经上这样记着：基督必须受害，第三天从死人中复活。

耶稣离开群众，进了屋子，门徒就来问他这比喻的意思。他对他们说：“连你们也是这样不明白吗？难道不知道从外面进去的，不能使人污秽吗？因为不是进到他的心，而是进到他的肚腹，再排泄到外面（“外面”或译：“厕所”）去。”（他这样说是表示各样食物都是洁净的。）接着他又说：“从人里面出来的，才会使人污秽。因为从里面，就是从人的心里，发出恶念、淫乱、偷盗、凶杀、奸淫、贪心、邪恶、诡诈、放荡、嫉妒、毁谤、骄傲、愚妄；这一切恶事，是从人里面出来的，都能使人污秽。”

门徒问他这比喻是什么意思。他说：“神的国的奥秘，只给你们知道，对别人就用比喻，叫他们看却看不见，听却听不明白。
